Concussion Care

One of the realities of playing youth sports is that injuries, unfortunately, are inevitable. Particularly, we are sensitive to ensuring our players and coaches understand and are sensitive to the important in understanding how to deal with head injuries, including taking care of themselves in the event that they sustain a concussion.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has excellent resources available through its HEADS UP program to educate players and parents on concussion prevention, recognition, and management.

All of our coaches should take the online concussion awareness training prior to coaching so that they are able to spot the signs of a concussion and help our players if they are ever in that situation and need medical assistance.
